Oklahoma law enforcement seized over 1,000 pounds of processed marijuana in a black market cannabis bust in southwest Oklahoma City. The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBNDD), Attorney General’s Office, OMMA, and local police searched Green Plus Dispensary and Twice Baked Edibles, suspecting them of storing and distributing illegal marijuana. Officials link the operation to organized crime networks, which they say control much of Oklahoma’s illicit cannabis market.
With 85% of criminal marijuana growers tied to international crime syndicates, authorities aim to shut down illegal marijuana businesses while stabilizing Oklahoma’s legal cannabis industry. The crackdown may benefit licensed dispensaries and medical marijuana patients by reducing black market competition, but businesses under investigation could face legal action or closure if found in violation of Oklahoma marijuana laws.
